As Tropical Storm Basyang weakens into a low-pressure area, Globe is actively restoring services and supporting communities affected in Mindanao. Overall network monitoring shows Mindanao services at 99.20% availability, with Surigao del Sur, the province most impacted by the storm, recording 86.49% wireless network availability across 11 municipalities and cities. Globe technical teams continue working closely with local authorities and utility partners to ensure safe and rapid restoration of services in all areas.
To help communities stay connected during recovery, Globe has deployed Libreng Tawag, Libreng Charging, and Libreng Wi-Fi (LT/LC/LW) services in Iligan City. These deployments allow residents to reach loved ones and access essential online services while relief and restoration activities are ongoing. Relief operations remain on standby in coordination with Ayala Foundation Inc. (AFI) and local partners, ready to assist communities as post-storm needs are assessed.
Globe urges the public to continue following official advisories from PAGASA and local authorities. Customers who wish to support relief efforts can donate Rewards points via the GlobeOne app by opening the Rewards section, searching for Rise Against Hunger, and sending available points to aid ongoing operations. Updates on network restoration and relief support will continue to be shared through GlobeICON as recovery progresses.
